CHORS Lighting – Spotlights, Pendant Lights and Track Systems

Catering

In the food sector in particular, the best possible colour rendering is of the utmost importance. The colours of freshly prepared dishes must be a feast for the eyes and entice the diner. The exceptionally high colour rendering of CHORS® LEDs supports this objective to the highest standard.

Hotels

A hotel must create a home away from home for its guests. CHORS® provides the lighting to ensure guests’ comfort and the technology to control it. The dimmer developed by CHORS® features flash memory and can store the last brightness setting even when the power is off. Once the room key card is inserted into the card reader, all lights switch on at the last saved brightness level.

Residential

The design language of CHORS® can best be described as ‘architectural’, as it is strongly inspired by the most familiar and pleasing geometric forms – cubes, tubes, spheres and so on. Almost every model is available as a range, which helps to bring a sense of cohesion to a design concept.

Project

CHORS® has a complete production facility, including a new paint shop, which enables CHORS®, together with local suppliers, to tackle almost any project. Detailed preliminary discussions and sketches, thorough 3D planning and technical specifications, prototype construction and electrical planning are essential for the success of a project and take between 8 and 12 weeks, depending on the scale.

Workplace

People spend the majority of their lives in the workplace, whether at the office or working from home. That is why the quality of lighting should meet the highest standards, particularly in these environments. CHORS® supplies all its surface-mounted luminaires with a CRI of 98 at 2700 Kelvin and 3000 Kelvin, and with a CRI of 95 at 4000 Kelvin. Three diffusers are available for light control and glare reduction, two of which have a UGR of 19 at a 60° beam angle.

Workspaces

Workplace concepts are becoming increasingly flexible, whether in companies or in co-working spaces. Their design must be more flexible and modern to meet the demands of young ‘native nomads’. CHORS offers numerous solutions for this type of space, always featuring state-of-the-art lighting technology, practical adjustability and modern smart home control systems.

Real glass lenses

CHORS® real glass lenses create high-contrast and vividly lit scenarios. Depending on the model type, they are mounted on adjustable bearings, allowing the beam angle to be adjusted between 15° and 60° or 15° and 40°. Thanks to their special manufacturing process, CHORS® lenses do not cast a yellowish colour fringe at the transition from light to dark, ensuring that the colours of the surfaces in the room are not distorted.

Light quality

CHORS® is committed to the Human Centric Lighting philosophy and generally offers the highest available colour rendering indices in its spotlights and panel lights. Currently, a CRI98 (Colour Rendering Index) is the de facto standard for almost all models, achieved through the use of CRI98 Natural Colour Sunlike LEDs, which emit a light spectrum comparable to that of sunlight. The high quality of light and colour rendering allows the materials and colours used to appear in all their brilliance.

Diffusers

CRI98 and CRI95 LEDs are used for the high-performance panel lights; like the directional light from the CHORS® spotlights, these are available in 2700 Kelvin, 3000 Kelvin and 4000 Kelvin.

Finishes

In addition to its own manufacturing facilities, CHORS® has its own new paint shop. Alongside the five RAL and thirteen NCS standard colours, there is a choice of five metallic finishes and countless custom NCS colours.

Protection ratings

CHORS® offers a wide range of luminaires with IP44, IP54 and IP65 protection ratings, including recessed luminaires for plasterboard ceilings or for in-situ concrete in HALOX® by KAISER®, as well as surface-mounted luminaires for almost any type of ceiling.
